1994 RRC Rad idiot light

So my idiot light for the coolant/radiator is flashing, upon further investigation I found the sending float to be pretty mucked up. Cleaned it all with white vinegar and it's free and traveling...still getting the error to the idiot light.

I'm going to start digging today but thought I'd ping you RRC guys...

Well I was really optimistic that it was the crud...I'm going to dig into it later today. I am considering the bulb extraction option...

Lasted a good long while...21 years, not bad. Replacement is on its way. FYI to bypass the error just jump it.

Your coolant level sensor looks different than my 91. I tore the wires off the oil pan sensor years ago

I took it apart...those are the guts. Looks as if a seal went out under pressure and fluid corroded the resistor. Looks like an easy fix for a rainy weekend. The knock off replacement part is $50.00 or so...I just like to keep as many original things working despite the flaw in design. Why would that thing need to be so complex!?!

I see now, I've got a spare. Will Tillery sent me a new one a few years ago. Good luck
