1993 Range rover transfer case swap

Hey guys, I got a buddy who needs help replacing the transfer case on his 1993 RR classic. The tow truck driver tried to tow it on two wheels After some research, in 1993 the RRs used the Borg Warner t-case, correct? My next question is, what does it take to swap in an LT230 from a discovery? I saw one site that made it look like it pretty much just bolts right up. Any thoughts?

Basically it bolts up. You need the mount on the one side, the front driveshaft and the diff lock linkage. Not 100% sure on the brake assembly and there is always the 3in v 2in output issue, but I would get everything. I have been meaning to do this when my BW's VC blows up, but thus far it has been fine (knock on wood).

You will need the brake drum and cable. Also the transmission output shaft from the Disco. It does "bolt up"
