wires to ring-out...

Colin-

I'm planning to ring-out those orange highlighted wires on the attachment, would you agree those are the ones that I need to be looking at for this RoverGauge Communication issue? They are the wires that go to pins 9 & 18 on the 40 pin connector at the ECU.

Your cable is put together correctly, not sure why I can't get characters to show up in PuTTY after reprogramming the chip to normal polarity on the RXD line.

Is this the cable that will work with the 14cux ecu connector and rovergauge?

that is the cable and the person i got it from - works great with rovergauge

yes and so far it is not working on my windows 7 home version laptop, keeps telling me it dose not find usb port and won't allow configuration.

Win 7 should be a cake walk.. make sure you follow the directions included with the 2 software packages. Works on win 10 and 7 (8 as well but that release was not great) plus win 7 running on mac under bootstrap or one of the loaders. You can even get it running under WINE on mac if you take the time to do it
