Barry congrats on the truck. Every time i see a post like this Im reminded of the truck that Stephen sold at British Car service. It was burned to a crisp and he told me wanted to 20k for it. Next thing I knew it was on ebay and sold for 36k! I wouldnt worry that you overspent.

Whats the rush? You live in LA.. You could probably keep it as is for several years without issue.

I would not install it, I would just keep it to have.

The best way to describe me is as one of those people who pulls a thread on his sweater and ends up with no sweater. It will drive me insane knowing it is rusting

How do you own a land rover with that attitude? You should get a porsche, you sound like one of those people (not that there is anything wrong with that).

Your 110 will last decades here in So Cal and will probably never need a bulkhead replacement. If you want to see a rusty bulkhead you should drive over to Burbank and check out my 130's bulkhead It looks a ton worse than yours but it is holding up great.

Congratulations on a fine purchase.

Barry,

I had a few spots like that on my bulkhead when I purchased a few years back. Now I am poking holes in the upper bulkhead with my finger. Ok so I only did that once before I learned my lesson. If you do go forward with the swap, be sure to take lots of notes and pictures for those of us headed in that same direction.

I think I am jumping the gun on this thing. First thing I need to do is get it home, bath it, tell it I love it and put some new oil cooler lines in it. Anyone got a set of stainless they want to sell cheap?

I've got 2 sets of lines for rebuild if you want to take them out and have them done.

I've always had my lines rebuild at hydraulic shops, and its usually under 100 for a pair.

Do you want to sell me a set o trade me a set. Meaning, I will take yours and get them done and send you mine back?

How about I send you two pairs and you get them both done? Send mine back to me and keep the spare set in case someone else needs some. I actually have 3 sets including the ones that are on my truck.

Always happens in a down economy. The guys who had a 110, but really couldn't afford it, now have to ditch them. I've seen lots of average to poor ones come on the market now, but the truly nice ones still get big money. Just helped sell one today.

Moral to the story... if you can, it is a great time to buy.

I do not check PMs. Call or email if you need something.

ECR is not a parts source. We are not in the mail order business.
