110 Fan Switch

The fan switch for heat and AC in my truck only works on high. I took apart the dash and got a new switch from George and put it in all excited to have multiple speeds of climate control. Hit the switch before putting the dash back together and it still only works on high. What else could it be??????????

Heard it could be the relay or resistor. Any ideas?

Yes, resistor. Not sure what it looks like on a 110, but it always fails on 1987-1994 RRCs.

I put a new relay on my 110 AC and the fan now works on all speeds. Problem is, after driving around for the day, I blew the fan fuse. Does this mean I should replace the resistor for the AC as well? I have a new one but haven't put it in because it means taking to top off the AC heater box. If I do need to put it in, is it easy to take toe top of the heater box off? It looks like there are screws on the sides that could be hard to get to
