110 brakes proportioning valve

So when I built my 110 I got classic tube stainless brake lines for it.
They were set up for the proportioning valve that sits on the bulkhead support bracket. It sits at a 45* angle. Classic stainless lines were for a 1993 which had drums in the rear, my question is since I went to rear disc brakes, could I delete the valve?
I started thinking it might be an option when I saw the diagram below. The 90 has a valve, but the 110/130 diagram has nothing.

I included a valve in my 90 build. Bought it from Summit. No harm in having one.

I don't know about the brakes, only their unreliability.

I omitted the proportioning valve on my 110 rebuild, for the same rationale you describe.

Ah, that seems really wrong since even D90s with all brakes have a valve.

?? How does the 90 schematic w/valve make the 110 w/o valve seem wrong?

A proportioning valve is usually installed so it limits pressure to the rear brakes since under braking weight shifts to the front of the car. The rear brakes cannot do as much work so the pressure must be limited to prevent the rear wheels from locking.

I too have used this diagram as my guide. You could always add an inline valve later if you had to
