Inside the black box on the RH front fender area. Doable, but PITA to get to.

Quick question and background
Last couple weeks I have intermittently been blowing fuses to my blower fan. Then the AC stopped blowing cold.

Just brought the truck in and had the system checked. No leaks and no compressor issues. System recharged but it hasn't been blowing cold. Then blew two more fuses in blower motor. I put a new fuse and the motor doesn't go on at all.

Thoughts?

Barry:
Mine is blowing cold, but found all the cold air coming out the defrost vents. (not keeping the interior of the truck even mild at all (keep in mind we are at 90 plus degrees with 100% humidity!)

Then the compressor would start kicking on and off. I have determined that the limited flow (even back flow) is freezing up the compressor.

Not to determine how to get the air coming out the right place. Every one is telling me that I should buy and install the 95 system that I have access to (still in the box!), but my truck is so totally stock, that I am even having a hard time deciding if I should remove the carpet and put down rubber only (you know how the carpet smells!).

Oh, the humanity!

Well you know I am going the rubber route. As for the AC system, if you had a new bulkhead I would do the change but without the vents that open that system looks weird to me.

Now back to my problem!!!!

Follow-up Post:

What would happen if you filled your AC with r134?
Do you have to do something with the system first?

Just trying to learn in addition to my AC problems

AB sells a conversion kit for 134a. Spendy, but comes with a new dryer I believe.
