I think I'll do some of my own tests over the next few days...it's been 100+ here lately but I'm only 800' above sea level.

I'm sending a new email today.
A buddy I camped with this weekend is in the market for a new cooler to keep on the transom of his boat. He's waiting to see how this plays out before buying one.

If they're willing to replace it no questions asked that basically means they're admitting fault/flaw. I would push HARD for them to pick up the return shipping. It always helps to tell them that you "really like their products.....", you "have fishing friends in the market for coolers and you'd really like to be able to recommend Pelican to them.......", etc.

Or melt the warped cooler down into a coffee can and ship that back to them. LOL

Yeah this kinda stuff just doesn't play well...everyone loves Yeti and I've been trying to stay Pelican so we'll see how it all plays. Tejas is home to Yeti and we just ordered 3 dozen of their coolers with the company logo on them for trade show giveaways...everyone loves a Yeti...

The squeaky bearing always gets greased. Also do you have to chop up the old one?

Can you send me one? I don't know what it is you do, but I could be a potential client, so you should just send me one.

I have to drill holes in it. They may want it sent back as well. I'd imagine they may want to take a look at the issue if it's not a known issue.

Pelican is paying for it to be shipped back so they can evaluate the issue. Sounds like it may not be a known issue as no one else seems to have experienced it.

I work for Land Rover whose vehicles consume far more oil than most!
