Hold on, I'm updating my crockpots firmware

The girl and I took the plunge on a new crockpot this week. Never heard of WeMo before, but now I can control the damn thing anywhere.

First up is slow cook chicken tikka masala.

Crikey that's nice. Ironically, I (literally) just finished putting together a batch of my famous chili into a crockpot this morning myself....another 6 or so hours and it should be ready!

So long as you don't put beans in your chili, it's all good.

You are hereby evicted from Texas. You have 72 hours to vacate the state with your possessions, your truck, and your beans.

I always understood that beans were to be served under the chilli, along with noodles as some like to do. The Texas or Cincinnati style chili and the shredded cheese on top.
What you put under and then over are counted as layers so a 4 way
is noodles,beans, chilli, then cheese

Cincinnati style is tomato based http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cincinnati_chili
Texas style is meat with seasonings, no tomato's or beans in the chili http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/fo...s-Chili-355049

This isn't correct ?

Who won our boyscout den chili cook off? This girl! ..and I serve it with jalapeno cheese corn bread..nom nom Mines tomato base, different cuts of meat and spices...no beans. I have gotten fancy and put yellow or white hominy, bell peppers, cilantro and such in before. It was good too but not as popular as the all meat. Rice or corn tortilla chips go good on the side too.

First run complete. I have to say this thing is neat gadget. The timer function is great. Recipe is a good base, lots to tweak on the spice level.
