That chicken tikka recipe looks good. I sent it to my wife. If you're new to the crock pot, try making a pork shoulder. My wife rubs them with pork rub and then dumps it in the pot with a bottle of amber lager, some chicken stock, and half a bottle of K.C. Masterpiece. When it's done, she pulls it apart by hand and mixes it with the rest of the bottle of sauce and serves on toasted hamburger buns.

True Texas red chili (also called chile con carne in some parts of the state) is no-beans chili. I make it this way and my wife splits the cooked chili in half and puts a can of beans in her half. I think the pro-beans crowd outnumbers the no-beans crowd but you'll be disqualified from chili cook-offs for including beans. They do, however, have a separate category for just-beans.

That shoulder recipe is making me hungry again! Last time I did a shoulder it was in the smoker a few years back. 16.5 hours well spent!
