Went clamming early this morning. We got 56 razor clams. I think we are going to fry a bunch up for the 4th, and use the rest for chowder. Hard to beat less than 12 hrs from surf to table.

Jealous. My 4th was sent replacing an impeller pump and upper driveshaft seal kit on the boat. Then downing a few beers (at the brother-in-laws...not the boat). Clams are the way to go...especially free ones.

Nice catch! I get a lot of quahogs, sea scallops, lobsters, soft shell clams, bay scallops, but never any razors....very nice. I heard they fry up really well.

looks great.

Where I'm from (North Shore of Long Island) clams are very popular, we don't get razors though.
