Who knows this Series III ?

I'm evaluating some "paint" job like the one in the picture.
Does anybody know that vehicle?
I'd love to find more pictures of it.
is it on-line somewhere?

thanks
Pat

That's not a paint job. It's polished.

I think the guy was trying to sell it awile back. Check the classified for details...

I've seen it before. It was located in So Cal. I saw it at a SCLR get toghether at the old Rover Assecories location. It's jsut stripped of all the paint and is the bare aluminum, polished I think. Not sure about anything else.

IMO it doesn't look that good in person.

I know the owner. I highly doubt he is trying to sell it. He is located in the LA area and it is polished not painted. His name is Jim. You can PM me for his email address. Thanks

I don't know that Series III, but a place in West LA has a Series II with a similar finish. The site is here:

I was kidding about the "paint" job , I know it's polished.
I've asked about this style because it looks pretty good in the picture
but as Joe says it might not be so cool in person.

Frankie I've sent a PM

thanks
Patrick

The p.o. was attempting to do that to my SIII. I will be painting it once I get the motor back in. I think they look a bit odd polished.

I saw a D in London with a bright polish, I thought it was sort of cool for the novelty but I wouldn't want mine that shiney.

I saw another one at last year's Rally in Leadville. It was more of a dull finish. I could see some potential for it in a utility sort of vehicle.

I saw one at MAR 2 years ago, I was commenting on how cool it looked and then noticed it had 2 legs coming out from under it!

Guess not having paint doesn't improve the reliability...
