What's an old 2.25L engine worth?

I've got a complete engine from my SIII with manifolds and carb that was seized when I got my truck. I've been holding onto it for some reason that I haven't been able to figure out. Is there any part of it that's worth a few bucks? Are these ebay worthy (though the condition is poor) or should I just bring it to the scrap yard? Thanks.

You might get a bit for the ancillaries, like the carb and exhaust manifold and a few of the other little bits, but not much.
It's probably worth more as scrap. You might be able to sell it to a local Series owner for the scrap value.

Thanks. I was expecting as much. After 7 years in the garage. It's time for it to be reborn into something else.

I sold a V8 block to a guy who was going to make a coffee table out of it. Neat idea. I wonder what finish that is on it.

I'll check on the manifold condition next time I'm up with the engine (it's out of state). I'm going to guess it's in good shape, as I don't think the motor was ever really touched before the truck was parked. I'll let you know.
I like the coffee table idea, but my significant other won't go for it I'm sure. Maybe if I use my MB 5cyl motor though... Can't say I've seen an OM617 table yet!

Or yo could save the engine for a future man cave table
a 2.25 would be more of an end table though!

If your manifold if good Ill be glad to buy it!

IF you want to give it away or want to sell it cheap, ill take it from your house? It would help tremendously and allow me to get a non-running series! Ill give you scrap value if you want, my father works at a scrapyard so i can get the value of it from him.

PM sent!
