Car, truck, Rover, Land Rover, POS, whatever comes to mind. None are ever called SUV.
The only one with an actual name is The Antichrist, and was named by friends when the passenger door would fly open while making left hand turns.

We call them by a name associated with their use or acquisition:

The holiday 110 - bought on Thanksgiving arrived on Valentines Day - to be used on Holiday

The puzzle 110 - bought in pieces and dragged across the country in 3 days

The accidental 90 - didn't mean to buy this one

My wife calls the 110 the "Bundu Basher" (she's spent a fair bit of time in Kenya and South Africa for work, so that's where she picked up the term I guess).

I just call it my mall cruiser.

My wife calls my 90 what my 90 calls her: " your mistress". Both are pissed at any given time at the other and give me a hard time.

I dont have enough fingers and toes to count how many times my wife used the line, "Well if you love your truck so much, why dont you marry it!?"

BTW, is it any coincidence that a single mattress fits so perfectly in the load space of a 3door 110?

Currently on the lookout for my next ex-wife, but I will NEVER get rid of the Rover.

The NAS 110 is called the ice cream wagon because that's what the PO called it and it stuck. The blue hicap is called Ike because he was dumped at the port of Galveston one day before hurricane Ike smacked it. The RRC doesn't have a name...

My Dormobile is called "The Green Rover" Kind of a lame name but she came by it naturally.

My first Land Rover was poppy red and was named "Red Rover" by a couple of friends. The name came from the children's Red Rover game. So when they wanted me to drop by it was "Red Rover, Red Rover send TeriAnn right over". They thought it was cute to say that.

The Green Rover was rattle can hunter green when I purchased her back in 1978. She and the Red Rover coexisted for 3 or 4 months and I started calling her The Green Rover to differentiate her from Red Rover and the name just stuck. So later when I had her repainted she became British Racing Green. So it has been "The Green Rover" for the last 35 years.

Kinda lame but it kept me from painting her pink.
