Steering system assistance please

Okay, the S-IIa is going together quite well- until we could not find the longitudinal rod between the steering relay and steering box. No worries- order a new one as well as TRE and misc...

Now, the question- what is the proper adjustment/install of this intermediary rod? Any help or reference greatly appreciated!!

I would set both the steering box on the bulkhead, and the relay on the frame, to the middle of their travel range (mark with paint). Then make the intermediate rod the length that fits that distance.

longitudinal rod length 24.5 inches center to center of ball joint. Manual says 24.46 to 24.59 inches, if you have a measuring tape in hundredths of an inch.
For the other rods:
Track (or tie) rod is 45.56 to 45.68 inches
Drag (or steering) link 30.812 to 30.937 (thousandths? really?)
The angle between the upper and lower arms on the steering relay is 81 degrees. That is when the lower arm is 90 degrees perpendicular to the tie rod, the upper steering relay arm is 81 degrees off that. Or you could also say the upper arm is 9 degrees forward when the lower arm is perpendicular.

I assume that you do not have a manual at hand. You can download a pdf from several web locations.

Thanks Adam and especially Bill- I have a few manuals, but couldn't find this info. And I am not too much engrained in Series trucks- this is the steep end of the learning curve for me.
Appreciate the help!!

Best to look at the manual and follow carefully as you need to set it all up together. The sterring box does not have any spare movement and if you setup a spline out you lose steering lock.
