Side hinged tailgate?

Laying in the NIH platelet donation chair this morning for 2.5 hours gave me time to think about the rear opening of the 109. Is it my imagination or have I seen a rear lift gate and side hinged tailgate arrangement on a Series truck? I think this is a pretty cool way to go especially with a swing out spare tire mount. If someone knows of or can point me towards a pic of something like that I would appreciate it.

Bill, I think I know someone who has done this. I'll see if I can get some pics.

Small pictures but here is the swing out tailgate.

A stock Series liftgate will just need minor mods to the lower seal lip and then it will work with the swing out gate.

Bill I did this on my trailer and have lots of pics. I also happen to have all the parts, including the liftgate to do this conversion, but it won't be cheap

Pics here, ans other pictures showing it in the fold down configuration in other sections of the trailer photos
