Series 2a front light plinth

Does anyone know of a source for just the plinth for the early 2a style front turn signal light - the kind the lens just pushes into the rubber housing?

RN has the whole assembly, but a bit pricey and I haven't gotten my $500 yet

Some creativity and the cheapo plastic ones and Bob's your uncle. You need to use the original boot though.

If you mean stick the innards of the cheap plastic one into the original boot/housing, then I like it. Effectively all that is wrong is the bulb holder is failing.

Yup. Ron good. Keep in mind I did this 15 years ago and don't remember exactly how I did it.

Holden in the UK or RN... you're still looking at approx $50 with the conversion and shipping.

Charles -

I have some extra Series III style - whole light assembly including rubber base and lens. Some brand new in bags, some used - red, white, and amber.

I know they are different from what you are looking for but I thought I would mention it anyway.

I need to check if it's single or double filament, but I need the L594 style. I only need the socket, so it looks like these would do it

Thanks!

Bill, just saw your post - I might try triple-c, thanks.

Dave, i just case about keeping the same lens/ring so if your holders would work with them then I am interested. Did you get your bleeding done yet?

This fell through the cracks and I never ordered one, but plan to get one from triple-c since I just need the bulb holder. Big price difference to buy the whole thing from jollyrogers.

I ended up getting one from triple-c. There was a slight difference in one if the terminal connections but other than that I'm very happy with it.

Kool.

Do they look like the original ones?

The bulb holder (which is all I got) is not visible anyway but looked the same.

I was on my phone earlier and didn't want to go into detail, but the difference was that the center terminal was also a bullet connector for the triple-c one and the one I was replacing was soldered or crimped on to the little post in the center. I am not sure if what I had was unusual or not, but figured it was worth noting.
