Yeah, I've seen it on a couple of early trucks as well. I thought it might be a respray or maybe it was for export vehicles or special order. The Pastel Green was pretty common I think. I have owned several that color.

First off, thanks to Will for coming by this w/e, and bringing his blue II-a- very nice truck!!
I have a '67 109 parts truck, from the original owner, and it is Poppey Red.
Leaning towards Pastel Green right now....

For some reason I have been considering a color change for my 109" project, but this seals the deal for me. It's staying pastel green for sure!

The first Land Rover I ever saw was a Marine Blue 109 wagon - I still love that color.
My first Land Rover was a 1961 Mid-Grey Series II - another great color along with the desert tan of the early SII's
My second Land Rover was a 1967 SIIA that was ordered by the State of Florida DOT in AA Yellow
but pastel green is vary hard to beat - a great choice for any IIA.

You nailed it exactly - Corvette Chrome Yellow
It was the closest color match I could find to the patches of original yellow paint that was buried under the dark metallic green that someone had hosed on the Rover a couple of owners before me. I've seen several other Florida DOT trucks - all pickups with a PTO and all originally painted bright yellow. Somebody told me that Florida bought around 200 of them in 1967 and used them to tow mowing decks on the Florida Turnpike.

Thanks Will- been fun actually. They are just different enough to be.... interesting ;-) I wish I could persuade you to come back for a reference day. I have bits I have no idea where they go. Give me a ring if you would entertain a trip up.
Jack, Marine Blue was my second choice, then Poppy Red. Already did a tan Defender which came out nice, and was also a consideration for this Series, but the Pastel Green seemed the best fit.
Would love one of the FDOT trucks if you ever see another pop up.

I am close to that with Defenders, but not near as much experience with Series. A meeting with George (RDS) many years ago he interogated me with identifying hardware from a Defender...
I will post a few pics of some mystery parts soon.
