rear wiper factory or after market

Just wondering about the rear wiper found on Series Rovers, I just recently bought a 70 2a and it has a rear wiper on it.

It has a small gaurd around it to protect it from damage.

My 67 NADA had one but was missing when I bought it.

So the question is are they dealer installed or a factory option?

Just wondering

Thanks Ed

I've seen motors from the earlier model Series that had two wiper motors on the windscreen used for the rear but to my knowledge it was not a "factory" option in the 2a models.

This one looks like a front motor, so you think that its somthing that was done by owners to get a rear wiper?

I have seen enough I figured maybe it was a option of some sort?

I know a number of Series owners that have installed one of those motors on their rear door including myself. I'm almost positive it was not offered on the Series vehicles imported to the states in the 70s and I don't remember seeing it as an option on the sales literature from that time.
