I painted mine like the blue picture but I wouldn't call it original blue. I would call it US Postal Service blue or Interstate sign blue. I like the color and most hardware stores will have a rattle can that matches on the shelf.
I think my next rig (109 project waiting it's turn) is going to be gray like battleship gray with a white roof. I really like the color on a series truck.
Pick one you like and don't worry about what we think but be prepared to get a bunch of flack if you go with slime green.
lol yeah the slime green. the pic doesnt really capture the color its a metalli green thats flat. its a weird optical illusion it looks like it should be glossy but its not. i dont think iy will fit the styling of a rover but its heela neat in person.
on a series you cant beat bronze green (my 2a88), or Marine Blue
Some of our other vehicles past and present. 110 in grey, 110 on Java black, 110 in black with RR in Red, 130 in Bonetti Grey, Easy Jet orange 110, Arles/Wind Jammer Blue 110, Olive Drab 109, Bronze green 109, Alpine white 109 ambulance, Vesuvius orange 110 d/cab.
I think you can't beat the original LR colors on a series, though there are some that are are very rarely seen. Mine was repainted in a non LR yellow and I think it looks much better now in desert tan.
