Market for 2.5NA diesel?

Couple of completely hypothetical questions

How much would you say a condition unknown not-currently-running (said to be a take-off that ran, just 'not well') 2.5NA diesel is worth as-is?

What about a (different) known running one that has come off a daily driver that burns a little oil?

I know these things are dime a dozen and don't get much respect in the Defender community, but is there any demand for them among Series enthusiasts?

Thanks

There are people here who value them highly for their smooth power, reliability and ability to propel a truck down the road at highway speeds.

There's a market for Series owners. It's a decent upgrade and can be put in front of the standard gearbox without worry. I bought a decent running one for $500 from a member here, and don't feel that I overpaid.

But, you will never sell it to a Defender owner (unless theirs blew up and they need a quick fix).

Try selling on Guns and Rovers

I have one still in the 110 so can do a test fire. Would love to get it removed as I will be stripping the front clip off soon.

Thanks for the heads up. I've offered him the not-running one if he's interested. The good one is still my daily driver (I know). A 200tdi is not too far down on my to-do list, just not right now.

Series owners like them and want them.

The problem is that series owners are cheap SOBs.

Johan - I'll take one of your 2.5n/a if you have any left. Any RURR coming down to VA that you know of? I'd like to rebuild it myself and get it ready in case the one in my 110 exmod dies...
