I just got off the phone with the owner for this place: http://www.procarbuyers.com/ they have a shop attached and do service for several rovers owners. He really knew his stuff and doesn't believe in charging more then $70 an hour. Which is cheap out here. Check him out

I think Peter gets tired of all the Venice hipsters stopping by his shop looking to score some adventurer cred.

Try Larry at Four Oaks Garage in Santa Monica. I've seen some nice series in his shop over the years. He's always done good work on my d-90. http://www.fouroaksgarage.com

Thanks guys.
After speaking to all of the usual suspects in town, I am looking in San Diego and Portland for help. There seems to be no one in the Los Angeles area that is willing to challenge themselves with a swap. Who do you like in the pacific northwest?
Thanks again

Doug Shipman (Ships Mechanical) in Portland, or Gord'n Perrot (Lamorna garage) in Seattle.

Doug pops up on the board from time to time. blueleader
