Wow, congratulations!!

"It's beautiful, in the same way the weather-beaten face of a desert nomad, is beautiful"

Is it me, are those small tires, or does it already have parabolic springs?

Either way, you've already won half the battle. I paid 70% of what you paid knowing it had a rotten chassis. That decision cost me big time.

No regrets, though... love my truck.

Congrats again

Thanks Javier, it's been fun few months so far (In my garage) Next trip is to VT in 2 weeks...

No parabolics, just the stock rusty crusty leaf packs but riding on mil shackles and 15" rims.

I got the transfercase lever working (what a saga), installed new clutch hardline/hose/slavecyl, installed a new brake booster, installed inertia seatbelts, and have done lots of small cleaning / painting type of things. Changing fluids and new thermostat are on deck to get done before the trip and if possible install a radio for music and comms.

That rover has a sweet stance im thinking it maybe has had the springs reworked or has some aftermarket springs on it.

I have a galvanized rear cross member for you. I paid only a small amount for it as it was part of a larger purchase. It has the extensions that let you weld it onto the chassis. Let me know if you are interested.

Bill, I've got a new corssmember here in my garage, next winter's project.. Thanks though! Someone will snatch that up..

Yeah Carey, I bought it from Eric... He was great, he held it for me and wouldn't take a deposit, I drove it home a month later.

Driving it to VT on Thursday!
