Isuzu into a Series 2

Does anybody know if a LE1 or LE2 Isuzu engine will go into a Series II

Specifically this engine.

Specs: http://www.isuzu.co.jp/world/product...l/l_spe02.html

Drawings http://www.isuzu.co.jp/world/product...f/l_draw04.pdf

Power Curve: http://www.isuzu.co.jp/world/product...l/l_per04.html

Not sure what the dimensions are but I have a good lead on some of these engines with little hours...

I have acces to the 4JG as well....

Thanks for the post. The 4JG is a turbo/intercooled 3.1... they say they can do it ..

Does anybody have an opinion on how that would ride/drive???

M&D Engineering do the 4J too.....

And I'd be interested in what you can put your hands on, especially the 4J

The 4JB1T (2.8) is a nice engine, preferable to the 3.1 IMO. Great in a D90/110 too.

I will second the 4JB1T. I have one in my Stage One, and it will certainly outperform Series brakes and powertrain...it is strange passing people in a Series Land Rover.

Ensure that whatever you get, you can get parts, though.

I am having a lot of difficulty with that aspect of an Isuzu TD. If I ever rebuild this truck, she might go back to the V8 though I am a diesel guy at heart.

Good luck.
