I am replacing rear springs and the lower rear most shackle bolt is stuck. I have the nut off but it is not budging even with persuasion. Is the bottom bolt threaded? Thinking of just cutting it and trying to knock it out but won't if it is threaded. Thanks.
Liberal use of PB Blaster on the threaded side. Let it soak for a few minutes. Use large breaker-bar or impact wrench. You can also use heat, such as a torch, if you have it. Try the PB Blaster and impact wrench. It'll work for you.
The if it's not the threads that are seized, it could be that the bolt is seized in the bushing. I've had that happen before. In that case I'd cut the bolt between the shackle plates and the spring on both sides, then press the old bushing out and put a new bushing in.
Use lots of anti seize on there when it goes back together
