The two relatively straight front fenders (wings), the seats, cubby box, and the rear lift gate, make this worth the purchase in parts alone.
It appears that the original color was "poppy red"

I don't know, the frame is heavily rusted but it doesn't appear to be structurally unsound. I obviously can't see the whole thing, but what I do see isn't that horrid.

The mud flaps are not installed properly with Land Rover hardware, and don't appear to be originals anyway.

If you buy it you should at minimum do the following:
New belts hoses cap rotor condensor plugs wires oil change fuel bowl/filter clean tie rod ends shocks brakes (from MC to drums) all fluids check bulbs wiper blades pedal pads parking brake adjust exhaust check.

Hey you're cool with me, just trying to let everyone know the real meaning of the term.

Here's an example why?
A friend of mine Dave from PA found a 1968 88 and drove a long way to see it because the owner and seller said it was a Bugeye. The guy was a well known Land Rover owner so Dave didn't question the owners knowledge. The 88 turned out to have the headlamps in the rad support and an argument resulted because it was NOT a bugeye.

I looked at an engine one time advertised in Exchange & Mart in UK as a 200TDI.
It was an earlier non-TDI TD and the seller swore I didn't know Land Rover engines because I wasn't English. It was the sellers mistake.

There are so many exceptions to every rule with terms and acronyms flying around that I've made quite a few mistakes... hell still do! No problem!

Thanks again guys for all the info and advice. I am going to stop by this sat and offer him 750-800. If he doesn't budge then I'll give him the grand. Now I have to figure out how to get it home and hid it from the wifey. It's not the first time I've had to sneak in a truck or bike.

Last time I bought a RR I just parked it in the driveway with the other Rovers and she didn't notice until two days later.

Anyway, I was planning on renting a two dolly, do I just throw the tran in neutral or ?????? You guys think it'll fit on a 5x8 utility trailer?

Thanks again!!!

To flat tow I believe they recommend pulling the drive shafts. Not sure on a two dolly.

If you tow dolly, pull the rear driveshaft. Frankly, I would feel a lot better with it on a full trailer.
