Goodyear G90's? Anybody run them?

Looking for some Wolf wheels and came across new ones with new G90's.

So G90's: Good, bad, or indifferent?

Will be running them as much or more on the road as off.....

TIA

Jason

A guy over on the ExpeditionPortal.com bulletin board ran them on a 90s RR. His user name is nashvillerover. You might look him up and ask.

They're O.K. but they'll wear out at a fast rate.

Yeah, I'm sorry I ran mine as much as I did on the road. I liked them off-road however.

I run them on my DD DI and did run them on my Classic RR before I sold it. These are just the facts:
While the cool quotient (if you will) of these is not as much as the Michelin XZLs (for sure) - neither is the price.
The G90s are a softer rubber compound than the XZLs hence they have better grip on the road. They are also not as noisy and have a better "feel" as they don't ride as rough.
They do, however, tend to feel like they are tracking while driving, but it is more due to the "tall and skinny" size than it is to the tread.

Granted, I don't drive my trucks as much as my commute to our business is less than a mile, ... I haven't noticed them wearing fast at all (not the case with the MTRs on my wifes LR3 which seem to show wear on each trip!)

If you decide to run something else, I might be interested in your tires if you sell them.

Thanks
Dendy

I didn't notice an increase in the feeling of tracking, but then I've always run 7.50x16 (or close) tires on all my Land Rovers (except my '62 that has 7.00x15 Co-op Grip Spurs {talk about squirrely!}).
When I was running mine I had a 35 mile commute and they definitely wore faster than other tires I've run. I'm sure because of the softer compound that, of course, offered better grip.

I would like another set, but would save them for off-road use.

I am running 275/75 BFG all terrains on my Series 3 and I really like them although torque on the highway is a little limited.

I had a set of G90's on an old 90 years back... great when they were brand new, very good on side slope grip.

But once worn, like 1/2 work, utter utter crap. might as well have slicks.

didn't last too long on tarmac either. Much prefer michelins.
