defender/110 vs series truck cab

I believe the roof panels are different, due to the different height windscreens

but; is the rear [vertical] back section of a series 2/3 truck cab the same as a later-- 90/110/defender?

In other words will a series 2/3 truck cab roof panel, fit on a later truck cab back/body-- and will that bolt on to a series 2/3 truck?

any help/advice much appreciated

thanks!

The 90/110 rear truck cab body will bolt onto a series tub & roof.

The only difference is the leading edge that mates to the windscreen to the bulkhead. Otherwise they are the same. I have done this swap and it is not a big deal. All you need to do is fit a later defender windscreen to a series bulkhead or fit a series windscreen to a defender bulkhead. You will need to use the defender windscreen mounts to attach the frame to either bulkhead. You will want to cut off the series windscreen mounts as they get in the way but otherwise it can be done.

Best of luck

Yes, early 90/110 is the same as series. Later defender have the rounded windows. Not sure when they changed.

thanks all, for the info/replies

I had found a brand new cab top/roof panel, and was looking for the rest. 90/110 are easier to find.

thanks
