AC port question

OK so I have two different evaporator coils here. One from a Defender and one from a RRC. I have the Defender one out of the plastic housing. It had on it the manifold style expansion valve which was held in place with a clamp. On the other side of that there were some shaped steel pipes that have o-ring ends where they go into the manifold expansion valve, and on the other male threaded fittings to attach to the rubber lines. Guessing the RRC one is the same way.
I guess what I want to do is find a fitting that mates to the manifold style in/out ports with rubber line directly rather than have these hard lines that don't work with my set up. Is there anything like this or do I have to braze some new custom lines?

Bleah. Going to try the $50 ebay special that comes with the blower already.
