Yet another $100k D90 - Monza 1997

Wow, another sub-10k mile 1997 up for sale - probably not since 1997 have so many sub-10k mile 1997 Defender 90s come up for sale! I seriously don't know how people think these can fetch these prices when they're not even Coniston Green!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Landr...item35b866e335

Original 6673 Miles, Never seen Rain, Always Garaged kept, Still has Factory crayon markings on suspension, most likely the only 6k mile defender out there! If you have any questions please call me at 360-771-1055 thanks. BUY IT NOW $105,000 For the Serious Collector.

There's some black crap along the top of the tailgate in the 6th pic - otherwise successfully hidden in all of the other photos. There's also a 60k mile discrepancy in the Autocheck in 2009.

Duh shitty 97 odometers, there's the license plate bracket that I think I threw in the recycle bin.

Bad thing is the state recorded the incorrect mileage, if that is the case. I would think they would have to have that corrected before they could command such pricing. And how hard would it be to have less than 7K miles and 5 owners? All collectors?

If I ever get my time machine, forget inventing Lavoogle I'm going to sock away Defenders.

In a strange twist, I may use this same logic to explain to the wife my purchase of Rover #4 (though that is taking place in present-time, not the past).

Seems likely that mileage discrepancy is a typo. It shows the addition of 60K miles in a little over a year. Possible, but the odometer checks out with the other historical entries. That only leaves about 50 miles in the last three years though, so must be in the hands of a collector.

No way someone found factory D90 BFG ATs and mounted them and this one has the factory tires. Miles looks right based on pics.

I'm not disputing the mileage, but you know the wheels can be removed and stored right?

Yup. Any feedback welcomed. That pic is from MAR back in the day when it was still at Pearl's Pond.

To my best knowledge these are still made and offer the Blackwall version as well. Rover didn't import enough of these trucks to dictate making an OE specific tire for them. However they may have changed the tread design a little in the years, it is hard to tell.
