It was on ebay.co.uk and sold for less than asking price on that website, but looks really nice.

Yeah, I think the pics on the gb4x4 site are just the same as the ones from the original ad/listing on ebay.co.uk too...which would make sense since it says "coming soon" on his site.

Guy has a history of selling and promoting trucks that are not as advertised. There was a whole thread on it but the admins deleted it, i think.

It had a real NAS ST cage didn't it? I wonder how the co.uk seller got a hold of one of them.

Gotta go ahead and disagree with you on that one...he had trucks that run the full gambit - from the $10K truck to the $50K truck. Those that pay $10K for a truck expecting a $50K truck are truly delusional. For that matter, I don't care what you spend on a Rover they're all going to need SOMETHING - and probably sooner rather than later. If someone doesn't take the time to do a proper pre-purchase inspection then that's no ones fault but their own. And if they do a proper PPI then you should either: a) know what you're looking at, b) still not be surprised when things happen.

Not a gb4x4 story, but along a similar vein I purchased my NAS90 knowing it probably needed some TLC (in particular the oil cooler lines). I made it 2 miles from the sellers' home...oil cooler lines let go, truck almost went up in flames. Chaulked it up to a roll of the dice, certainly not the POs fault (though one could argue they should have been replaced, but he wasn't too hip on the nitty gritty details of Rovers so he probably didn't realize the severity of it). I had some other issues with the seller (made me wait an exorbitantly long time, blew me off for days & weeks at a time, and changed the price like it was an episode of 'Pawn Stars')...but this mechanical issue was NOT his fault.

So my $0.02, shouldn't let some chimp cry about his sorrows that his truck leaks oil or shit happens and try to blame it on the previous owner - even if it is a dealer. Man up and either PPI it yourself or get someone to do it...then if you do buy it, no one to blame but your own ass. I don't blame anyone buy myself for the Rovers I have...and they constantly need something done to them, I just do my best to take them off the road for maintenance one at a time! But no one has a crystal ball with Rovers, that much I do know.

Used to be called Rovers Out East, the guy who runs it is Draaron I believe. A Google search might be helpful.

Totally disagree with the "admins" deleting the thread (not sure which regime deleted it).

You are correct it is me. Name was changed due to LRNA wanting exclusive use to the name Rover.

Many things are in the works for this truck as we speak, it's not the same as when it was in the UK, the project needed lots of little things and a few big things for completion.

I can vouch for DrAaron, When I bought my rover from him it was in the 10-15k range and like Jason said, I wasn't expecting the same as a 50k rover. Aaron disclosed that the bulkhead would need addressing at some point and a couple of other things. There were of course some other minor fixes that it needed and the good DR has given me great advice and helped me with fixes. Plus he's a great paddleboarder and has a great environmental conscious! I got nothing but good things to say about the dr.

Im a DrAaron supporter as well. He is a great guy. I bought my fixer-upper 110 from him and he's been great the whole way. I even have my truck over at his shop right now for some maintenance/improvements/modifications that I have been wanting to make for a long time. He's easy to work with, and his staff is a good group of guys too.

I love my 110. Its the most unique vehicle Ive ever owned, and now Im a Land Rover lover for life.

Haha, I thought for a second I might have been beating a dead horse. I just cant stand someone being undeservedly badmouthed. Like you said earlier Jason, buying a pre-owned vehicle is always a gamble, and if there's a problem with your vehicle when you buy it, its because you didnt look close enough.
