Ben, I'm not sure the picture that's listed in here is the actual truck as it says RHD but the pic is of a LHD. If it's the one pictured, I see this one in the West Village all the time (well, actually haven't seen it in about a year, but now that it's nice out again I'm sure I will soon). It was done by ECR a few years ago, and is only a mile from your place.

Which ones are "this" and "that" - the one in the picture I could swear has NY plates and is LHD.

Did you buy the one on CL that is RHD? So confused. Also, I'm assuming you saw the concours was cancelled this year! What a shame.

the one on ECR's site was for us. we sold it to a client in CT / NY. it came back and is now with a client here in MA. i saw her this morning at the gas station. =)

i did not buy the RHD truck. i cant sell them.
i saw the it was cancelled. dont worry there is going to be a "boston cup" this year and every year to follow. not exactly sure when though.

For simplicity sake, say you had a clean 95' NAS D-90 worth $35,000. What do you need to knock off the asking price if it was RHD? Before people go there, yes, I know that Mona Lisa Vito would say there is no answer, that this is a BS question…

Keith sells all his trucks way below market value, so I'm sure it would be cheap!!

just the RHD trucks. the chaps that come to me - dont want to think about driving "this odd way". i like it, i think its fun, i am a lefty so it is simple to me..... but i aint them. =)

draaron will be able to tell you prices of RHD trucks better than me.... i just dont really mess with them at all. the doc has great luck and business with him and i send many people to his site when they get the NAS shell shock.

to answer i would say its at least a $5,000 whack [it is more but $5,000 seems right] probably closer to $7500+ because to convert i think the price now-a-days is $6500 or so. [correct me if i am wrong]

Hey Keith, I'm a lefty too and I like the RHD too, except when people call me on the phone as it's hard to listen on the left side and shift too. Draaron quoted me 10k for AC and LHD conversion so I'd say your pretty close.

I dont know what the big deal is about RHD. I bought my RHD truck from DrAaron, and I love it. Im right handed, and (sort of embarrassed to say) never owned a manual transmission vehicle before. I knew how to drive one, but had never driven one regularly. Had it mastered in the first weekend of owning the truck, and now it feels as natural as driving my old LHD E30 BMW (most recent 5speed acquisition).

It must just be a scary thing for an American to look at a RHD vehicle and think about driving it, so they dont bother to even try. Not a big deal if you ask me. The only downsides are visibility when trying to make a right turn out into moving traffic, and reaching over to grab my gut-rot fast food in the middle of the night. On the brightside, Ive eaten MUCH less fast food since I bought the truck! My waistline is grateful.

This thread has gotten a bit off-track, hasnt it? Sorry.

Sounds like it would be cheaper to install Bluetooth. Or practice with the other ear...

Its one of the side effects of being a D110 owner and married at the same time. She never likes my honest answer when she asks, "Your truck, or me. What'll it be?" Im glad its a 110, too. Sleeps very comfortably.

I just don't answer the phone while in the 90. I have a bluetooth microphone but it's more for decoration than anything.
