Nice find! I'd concerned with the central diff light being on though.... That's potentially some driveway issues (now or upcoming).

He's a board member here...sort of. Goes by Wayne here. Always asks crazy money. He also just bought that flooded NAS 110 truck from Colorado; the whole "I HAVE OTHER PROJECTS TO DO" was in this ad over a month ago before he bought the 110. He usually asks what the truck was worth BEFORE it was wrecked.

What are you talking about?

It's a light ... Operated by a switch ... Has no relationship to the condition of the drive train.

Someone will pay his crazy money.

That's the beauty of free market.

If people can can get crazy money for these it only helps the value of the nice and original or totally restored Defenders. But, yes, that seems high. I called him when he had it on ebay. He wouldn't budge of $18K. He said it need $1500 in parts to fix. Just the 2 wings and a new bonnet would cost more than that, not to mention all the other parts/labor/paint it needs.

I calculated $15,288 in new parts from the regular sources alone - that didn't include paint or labor, so the $27k listed on the website probably isn't far off.. that said, it does need a new frame, so calculate 100 hours of labor overall. Or more.

Did he replace the chassis? The Copart picture shows the driver side of the chassis being bent.

Unclear.. but as Pedro said, we really need to see the receipts on how he calculated $1500 in parts to make the repair.
