Always been one of my favorite builds. Has a new style rear door and 130 wheels. If it wasn't so far away I would have to check it out in person.

There are a number of type-o type things in that ad, but the major parts are right. It was a complete refurbishment of a nice condition truck. The engine was new, not rebuilt just in case anyone was asking. It left here with 85,210 on the odometer when we did the project in 2009.

So you don't install ARP exhausts ha!!

It is a super nice truck. I think you had a whole post about the axles and making it all work together. can't imagine selling that thing.

Barry its arles. Since your truck is now a crumbling pile of oxidation you should upgrade.

I want to ask him how he registered it in California.

The smog exempt status is worth $$ alone... or dodgy lowrider smog shop signoff is worth -$$

If a truck is already registered in CA you can do a diesel conversion. It is just paperwork

I like the little dig at the "other Rover engineering masters" in the build thread.

new expansion complete. Not only are we the only Rover shop in Eliot Maine...now we're also the biggest.

I challenge you to do the same project for under $100K. Been there done that. Remember to factor in your own time should you do it yourself. This is fairly priced if not a little big of a bargain.

Would love to hear others thoughts.

BTW.............I f-ing LOVE the 30 spline axles.........I think those are Brothers?? Yes or No??

I couldn't do the work if I had the time. Not really a gearhead or that good at wrenching. I just love Defenders and pretty much all cars. I can see the value in this Defender and have no doubt about ECR's work. Heck I'm always reading Mike's updates. I just wish I had an extra 95K laying around

No worries, I didn't read it that way either. I just wanted to clarify my position so no others felt I was under valuing the rig.
