That's a tremendous restoration project ... I can only imagine the many hours and skill that managed to achieve that 1990's patina on a 1970's truck.

Looking at all the pictures did anyone see a single Series part other than the commission plate? I wonder what the number on the frame is?

On the other hand I would love to put that rear door on my 109.

I had no idea LR made a turbocharged direct injected V-8. We are talking about Ferrari technology, yet 20 plus years earlier. '

It looks more like a 300Tdi. I have one of those engine covers in my garage.

The item description said 8 cylinders and thinking all here recognize that cover. My sarcasm font was not loud enough?

I thought it was common knowledge that the F40 was just a knock-off of the Defender!

Great call! It was sad Ferrari took 5 years to design this bad boy when it rolled out in the 80s, but I see LR all over it. Makes me want to bid on this 110 and paint it rosso corsa.

We are of the same mind. That engine is totally begging for an early LT77 swap and LT230 with overdrive.

The listed VINN shows on Calvin as;

931 Model: Land Rover, Series III
Body type: Station wagon
Wheel base: 109in
Engine: petrol
Model years: 1972-1979
Destination: Home market, right-hand drive (RHD)
00640 Serial number
A Design: Unmodified

Probably unloaded by someone fearful of seizure, trade it in on some unsuspecting dealer.

I was curious about that when I first saw it a few days ago so I inquired what he was looking to get out of it. He messaged me back and said he was looking for $45K. I also just noticed that the listing has ended.
That guy has some other pretty sweet looking vehicles in his stockpile.

And that is exactly what happened when it was traded in ~ 7 weeks ago. Thinking they will recoup their money from the PO. $hit flows down hill.
