Springs for trade?

Hi everyone - new to the forum. Thanks for having me. I just bought a '95 D90 with Old Man Emu Heavy Duty Springs. I wanted to know if anyone wants to trade for Standard Land Rover Factory Springs. I want to minimize my lift a bit and also soften the ride. My wife hates it! Ha. thanks

Congrats on the new truck... Post a few pics. Welcome to the forum. Get ready to explain to your wife why you spend more time in front of the computer.

The only issue you may run into is a lot of the old springs sag after 17 years. Might be better to buy new springs.

Scott where are you in NYC? A few of us live downtown and we have happy hours from time to time. Congrats on the new ride.

Not too many green D90 ST with Puma hoods - this was the last one I knew of.

Post some pics

Scott, your truck is already for sale? I see you live in the West Village - as do a few others of us - can't say I've seen you around though. Why are you getting rid of it? Anyone interested in it, I'd be willing to take a look for you. Now that I see bigger pics, I can tell it doens't have a Puma hood - your avatar made it look like it had one.

This was the one for sale by Land Rover Cherry Hill a few weeks back, right?

http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/cto/3243213002.html

Land Rover Defender 90 (1995) - $43000 (West Village)

I am selling my pristine 1995 Land Rover D90. Has only 67.000 miles on it. No Rust/Corrosion issues. Recently completed a $10k renovation. Some features include:
New Hella Lights, Winch, 5 Speed, Soft Top, Bikini Top, Diamond Plate Package, New Stereo, New Seats, New Fuel Filter, New Gaskets, New Plugs, New Power Steering Lines, New Tires, New Seats, Por 15 Undercarriage Rust Proofing, New Borla Exhaust, New Tuffy Center Console and more.
This truck is a real head turner and runs perfectly. People stop me on the street all the time to ask questions about it. Email with interest. Serious inquiries only please.

Hate to share myboring life's story but i bought it in anticipation of moving to the suburbs. That plan has changed (i'm staying ni NYC at least another year) so I listed it on CL because i had nowhere to park it. I have since found a place on LI to hold it so i am thinking about keeping it. I live on Horatio Street. And you? I have seen a white 97, and a green hardtop (not sure what year) around the area. Yes this was at Land rover cherry hill and i got it renovated in CT. It looks awesome would love to show it to you. I had a few "low ballers" email me with offers. Gotta love Craigslist.

Nice. Love Horatio - we had a Defender "photoshoot" on Gansevort just about two months ago.

http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...nsevort&page=4

The whole parking it out on LI would explain why I haven't seen it. The white '97 is Ronnie's - rd10014 on here. He parks his on the street. I live next to Washington Square Park. I didn't want to leave my ST on the street anymore either, so after a few months I got a garage.

You're right you don't have a Puma hood - it just looked like you did from your small avatar picture.

The blue hard top with the rack on top and washington plates? He was parked on my street last week, then within a block or two ever since then. I left him a note, but he hasn't gotten back to me.

Here are some of the recent ones. They're a dime a dozen around here now - I don't blame you for trying to offload yours.

A Boost is a highly desirable wheel... Came on the new Defenders, and on the 1998 Disco LSE.

There is a guy in Queens named Felix. He is a great guy to go to. I can send you his number.

Also, if Sal doesn't want your springs, I will take them.
