Spiderweb shade group buy?

There is a group buy being setup to buy spiderweb shades for Jeeps.
Since it looks like they did a D90 some time ago, I've asked for a price.
Anyone interested here? Looks like this would happen in the next few days. I did not read the conditions (shipping? NOVA/DC only?).
Anyway, here is what I know:

Thanks!

Who writes this stuff? ".... be sure to rotate your balls so they are out of sight."

Well I just ordered four spyderballs. They look to be the right size to hold the rear shoulder belts to the cage on a ST when not in use.

A friend had one on his jeep and honestly, it wasn't worth the money in my opinion. YMMV.

Hum... That's great feedback! Any additional detail you care to add?

It was well made, just didn't really provide much protection from the sun.

Like I said, maybe your experience will be different.

From one of the groupbuy guys: "that might have been the old version or the ultramesh. A lot of people think the ultramesh is better but it actually has 0 UV protection to it.
The trailmesh really does block most of the sun out and it is a noticeable difference from what i have experienced.
I did hear when they first came out that they were pretty bad but this was a couple years ago"

I want to know because I think a mesh top would be better (heat wise) than my full top but I need to be 100% sure the kids in the back will be protected from the sun.

I thought about this from Safari HP. http://www.safarihp.com/exmoor-trim-...sh-top-uv.html They also have sides.

I like the look of the two top panels. Not so much the sides.

Not sure what the price will be yet.

But their web site says (in 2009?): "SW1D90 UltraMesh /// Only $99.99usd SW1D90 TrailMesh /// $119.99usd

Ships Via USPS PRIORITY INTERNATIONAL Only $37.50usd"
http://www.spiderwebshade.com/2009/0...fender-series/

Apparently trail mesh is the way to go (ultramesh is too lightweight for sun protection?). This seems in line with the comment above (?).

Price is in.

Retail is $299. Group buy price is 254.99.
If I read this correctly, that includes sales tax and shipping (for the group buy).
If interested let me know, I'll put you in touch with group buy vendor.
I am not moving forward with the purchase. I was looking at a $150 price point.

Thanks.
