He has been totally bombarded, and told it is worth more than he is asking by a few of us which he truely appreciated. He is the orig owner, 91k miles, not on the boards, and has had a horrible experience with the local dealer. Apparently the stealership quoted $4k to fix it, and a week later the tech who did the estimate comes to his house and offers him $2k for the truck. Not cool, and offensive obviously. The last thing he needs is a bunch of lowball offers, just saying...

Wow, almost a true "barn find" D90. Looks like it really just needs a good cleaning and fix what's wrong with it.

I don't mean to be a PENIS, but, Ron's awesome looking one is for sale for what 18000.... and this one now it is worth all the sudden 10,000? when you are done with the repairs, fixings, etc ( unless you are like Dale or Ron that have miles and miles of spares ) you put another 8-9?

I thought at 7000 was an okay buy, but I hate price increases

done

at 15k? Ron's is still a deal, tried to get a guy yesterday to buy Ron's I think it's a hell of a deal, just the color, you either love it or hate it.

Actually for some reason I thought the Charleston one was going to be a 10-12k kind of deal, but I see now he wants 15k. Yes Ron's is a better deal at 18k for sure.

Funny about the color because I thought it was a desirable color but I think you are right - you love it or hate it.

Does anyone have an update about this defender. I saw it on craigslist and was very interested.

I'm a new fan of rovers and am looking for my first defender. My budget is around $10,000 and I want to do most of the work myself. Any one have any advice if this is realistic or not, and also any advice on where to start looking to buy my first defender to restore would be really appreciated.

Thanks guys. Congrats to who ever ended up with the truck.
