What timing! I had to rent a car while I was doing my 24 spline conversion 2 weeks ago and the rental had xm. Was seriously going to look into this. Thanks!

Mark did you end up getting a subscription?

All- we also have some great deals on our Internet Radio service as well, which has more channels than our Satellite service due to no bandwidth constraints. Once you sign up, you get a user name and password that can be used on any device that offers our service (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Android, Android Tablet, Blackberry, and many more in the pipeline...) and if you already have a Satellite subscription, you get a big discount if you add a Internet Radio subscription... Happy Holidays!

Kinda. I have a carpc (aka roverpc) and I use a front end called RideRunner. It drives all my media; I don't have a regular stereo. anyhow, to get Sirius to work with my system, I need the Sirius SCC1 receiver, which was not available for any of your family and friend deals, so i had to order the receiver from a standard retailer. I have it now, along with the interface to my pc, I've installed it (temporarily) to get it all setup, then I need to put it back in the box, as it's supposed to be my xmas gift from my wife! I'm going to order up my subscription this weekend, but unless I'm missing something, the family and friends deal isn't a subscription discount, it's a hardware discount, so I'll be ordering up a regular subscription to I can fire it up right after xmas for our ski trip.

Yes, sorry can only offer Friends & Family discounts on the hardware but we also have discounts through our website on subscriptions if you pay annually or longer.

I use an SCC1 with my Alpine Headunit as well. If you want, when you box up the SCC1, send it back and I'll send you one for free. I have a few laying around. Then ur wife can buy you the subscription and just renew it for you every year for Christmas! Let me know.

PM me your address and I'll send you one. Tell your wife to just buy you a subscription card ($50, 100...) at a Best Buy or Radioshack so that you can just activate it whenever you like...

close but not exact. the antennae connector looks the same, but the antennae itself was square, not round. I just boxed it all back up, but haven't boxed it for shipping return yet if you need a pic. does it matter?

As long as the connector is the same it's fine but if you'd rather keep the square antenna then hold off until you receive my kit. I use the square antenna. It's smaller and requires a smaller footprint on a metal part of your vehicle.

hmm, not following. since the antenna connects directly to the SCC1 and is part of the kit, you'd be able to confirm the connection before sending, correct? The interface I have just connects to the SCC1 through the din cable. I've reboxed my kit (receiver, antenna and din cable) for reshipping. Nothing was permanently installed. I have no preference between round or square. Once I have it, I'll mount he antenna up by my roof lights with the wire running down the snorkel with the breather lines.

It's essentially the same antenna however, if you prefer the smaller square one, like I do, then you can instead ship back the one I'm sending you in your return kit. Won't make a difference which one you keep. The square one is a later version but I only have the round one to send you.

round works! I won't even see it. It'll be behind the snorkel head!
