Why not? It has a 2 1/4 petrol. My 59 cruises at 70.

No overdrive with 32in tires. 70mph is goes but it is screaming.

you can cruise at 70 mph in a 59 with no overdrive ? that's over 110 kmh. That's what your speedo is telling or a GPS ?

My speedo would bouce between 50 and the limit. It was gauged by the discovery following me (stock gears but with 235 85R16 so it was accurate if not reading a bit slow).

I remember like 12 years ago I put in slick50 into my series III and I swear that thing went 75+ mph according to the speedo. It makes things real slippery I guess but it dosen't last since teflon can't stick to metal. Still was fun to do 80.

Now has a buy it now of $9,500. Not sure Id of gone that high if i was in the market. Any thoughts on if its worth that much?
