It is still a land rover. In the second photo, you can see the obligatory wheel chock.

$18,500 for a short wheel base glorified Series III that someone has stuck a few Land Rover badges on. Crazy, just crazy.

Well, not exactly. A Santana is a whole different animal that just happens to look like a Land Rover. If you're into them it looks like a good one.

It's a Frankenstein series with defender parts and some local Spanish tweaks built under license.

Don't recall when Santana started their link up with Suzuki but that dash is very Suzuki like.
Love the three wiper blade set up and the way the rear door has rounded cornered glass years before Solihull did.

I don't know about the brakes, only their unreliability.

Let's see.... roll up windows, 3 wipers, rear wiper, swingaway spare, wheelarches, one piece windscreen, glove box, the ability to blow heat to more areas of the car than just your your feet, ignition is where normal left hand drivers prefer it. Hmmmmmmm What was the Land Rover co. doing with the same model while these were being built in 1982.......Oh, they were building the same exact product they were putting out in 1971. Due to it being from Spain I would believe the rust free part too.

Not strictly true of course, as there were mechanical refinements during its production years, and the Stage 1 V8s also came out in 1979, with full time 4WD from the Range Rover, and in '82 they brought out the County spec. During '82 LR were also developing the 110 to release in '83.

You are correct, but when I said the "same model" I was referring to the 88/swb series III only..

I know I'm only messing with you. At the time British Leyland were busy trying to wreck the British car industry.
