See how it sits a little low in the back? It's got a bar of gold or two in it.

I just had to ask this guy what justified such a price - even gave him a solid Copley car (new frame, SD basket/ladder, forward facings with 30k less mileage and over $30,000 less) to contemplate.

Welcome. His original mail to me said the following:

"We have been consistently selling these defender 90s for $60-$70,000 over the past few years. The market on collectible cars has gone up and will continue to go up in our opinion. We have this defender priced where it is because it is the nicest of all the defenders we've had in our inventory. The price is just our opinion of what the car is worth. We won't know what it is truly work until someone actually buys the car."

The guy does have a point, it is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. But 90 grand is damn sure swinging for the fence!

My Old D90

I purchased that from Saab of Santa Monica and paid $36ish in 2006 or 2007.
I traded in my 2002 Land Rover Discovery II on the purchase.
I kept my original Land Rover Discovery all weather floormats and used them in the D90 which is why you can see in the pictures from that dealer they dont fit perfectly but worked just fine.
I had the Inifinity Basslink sub installed and removed one of the rear jumpseats. The vehicle was dynomatted and added power locks with alarm and had the rear tinted. I can see from the pictures that the rear tint was removed.

When I purchased it, it had rust in the rear door bottom as well as some minor rusting on both the driver and passenger doors. Aside from that, the vehicle was very very clean.

I ended up selling it to a very nice guy out in Malibu who's plan was to use it for wknd surfing. I kept in touch with im and he repaired the rust issues. He sourced an entire rear door and had that color matched. A couple years later I saw that he had it for sale on Autotrader asking $45,000.
