Knowing how 110s age, then I'm sure this truck will need it's fair share of work...but, the price is great, so HORSEY BOY, go buy this! (you got some scary stalker skills!)

I agree!
Almost too good...

You should go for it! Honestly, I bet if you decide you do not like it someone here will give you more than $25k for it.

You don't want people to start thinking you are federal agent making friends here and gathering intelligence on any possible illegal Defender importation operations.
I mean god forbid a couple of Defenders come into the US that are not DOT blessed!

By the way, the time it took me to write this up 2 fully loaded semi-trucks just entered the US via Mexico full of cocaine.

I didn't make it there today, but will try again tomorrow. The guy emailed me and said to call him. I'd rather just show up and see it, since he's told people he not ready to show it. For me, at this point, buying is not an option. Not in the budget....... the wife dind't laugh at me, but didn't say yes either.
If I do get the chance to see it, I will for sure take whatever pics I can for whoever is interested. Gustavo, are you serious about buying it?

Well Josh, did you at least go look at it?
Josh if you buy it and don't want to turn-key it, I bet you could at least trade it for a nice D90.

Follow-up Post:

OK Has anyone gone to look at this thing?
I thought this would be gone in a New York minute.

I talked to the guy on the phone and he sounded a little like a nice guy but something isn't right. He is now trying to get 35K for it. I am so very curious for somebody to look at it. If it has been sitting for the last 6 years plus it might be worse than he is letting on. Did he tell you guys that he removed the gas tank because it was leaking and installed a plastic tank? so that he could drive it. That was just after he said he couldn't get it running any more.

I thought the tank in a 110 was plastic? One thing I have learned is there are no good deals on rovers, especially 110s.

Same as 87-90 Range Rover. Those had recalls circa 2002 so most tanks are ok.

the cryptic description just makes this seem weirder and weirder. Listed on craigslist but not ready to show, all the "Something's not right". Very interested to see this.

Anyone serious about taking the plunge should take it to Bedford Greenwich Automotive (theroverman.com) about half an hour away for a pre purchase inspection. They are recommended by Copley for the area

I may call to see it and take some pics but I'm purely a tire kicker. Thought someone would have done the work for me by now.
