Throw the bumper in the trash or do me a real favor and throw it through Horsey's windshield next time he comes over to the lot.

You can all joke about me calling this guy but every one of your wants to know about these trucks and what the story is.

Holyshit just caught this. The parent in me feels bad. The bully in me thinks it is awesome. This is why I never let Horsey get up. If he kicked me with those legs I would be done for.

Start a thread dedicated to it. Here, I'll start it for you. "So, I was talking to my friend who owns a Puma, and he told me..."

You guys are very entertaining. Last week it was about someone's dead mom and this week it's about barry calling a guy selling a puma.

The video was funny. the kid deserved it and I like the fact the kid being bulled just walked away after kicking his ass.

Should the title of the thread be "Not Mine"

From now on I won't share. Horsey and Keith ruined it for everyone.

I'm still talking about the thread Barry is going to start tonight about experiences with the Puma from his friend's POV.

No one cares about that lame topic. There is a better one that just started.

Horsey

There have been two of these trucks that have popped up recently in CA for sale. Yes I am curious. The same way you are curious enough to go drive over to some stupid gas station in Morristown in your shitbox to check out the local white 90. Thankfully no one is asking you to do a pre-purchase inspection. I am sure you could check the brakes now though.

We should all ask the VIN number of the donor vehicle and do a check on that .... I wonder how many times that will be unavailable ...

Not to worry. I'm sure our own resident Jimmy the Weasel is already on the case. It should be seized by the time you are done reading this.

Oh I get what you mean. I guess it depends on what you are looking at and you can debate what is legal or what not. You can debate for days and days what is ok. can you fully rebuild, can you use take off parts, etc. I don't give a shit about any of it. I just think it is cool that they are here.

Barry, I agree! I love seeing as many defenders as possible.

------ Follow up post added March 16th, 2011 08:35 PM ------

Assuming the rumors are true and LRNA imports Defenders in 2014 and it retains much of the heritage as we are all hoping. What happens to the trucks similar to these that are selling between 65K-100K? Do they drop in value with the exception of the NAS 110 that ECR restores?

I guess I come from the place where they are just a utility vehicle ... but I think they are cool here!

I say values will go up.
In 1993 when the 110s came in (and then 90s), a lot of the new owners wanted Series Rovers to go along with them, others wanted Series Rovers to be kinda-like Defenders, but both drove prices of Series trucks up. If the same holds true the interest in new Defenders at the dealership will make some buyers want to explore older models (like NAS Defenders and imported versions, and even maybe Series Rovers) so prices will go up, or at least hold steady.
Same thing happened when the new Mini first came out. Classic Mini prices went way up because of the renewed interest in the brand.

Ya know, I've heard this for 15 years now, and I don't know of any confirmed cases where any government agency came and took someone's truck that they owned in the US.

I do not check PMs. Call or email if you need something.

ECR is not a parts source. We are not in the mail order business.
