I wonder what those small half ton trailers in the NSW auction would go for. Almost look like a sankey but a little different style drawbar.. Good alternative to the M416/101CDN trailers that seem to be hard to find a decent price on. The other bonus is that you can run rover wheels on them and not need to worry about hub adapters or any other tomfoolery..

Doug. Work on a group buy. I would be interested in the smallest trailer at the bottom.
General Information

The light and rugged Cargo Trailer has a prefabricated, galvanized steel-framed body with an aluminium sheet floor, making it perfect for the highway and off-road hauling. Some of the ADF features include a protective canvas canopy, height-adjustable jockey wheel, and rear jack stands, plus lifting and tie down eyelets for general cargo. All light trailers are available in dual or single axle configurations.

If you buy them I'll ship and import them but I'm not interested in buying a container load of trailers on speculation.
Looking @ the auction a number of the importable date trucks seem stupid cheap to me with 2 days left to go.
Given the uber strong galvanized chassis under these and the the super low mileage isuzu 3.9's they seem to represent one hell of a value.

http://www.graysonline.com/sale/5013...ilers?spr=true

3500 Australian, current bid on one, is only $2784.

I want a 6x6 and I cant even explain why, check out this crew cab 6x6. Its not importable yet but tell me this wouldn't be a cool rig to be delivering defenders with. Not knocking the crew cab f250 but this thing has a different panache' about it.

For you Johan, absolutely my friend. Any one of the 3 1989's would be eligible for entry.
Of those three the highest mileage is 87k or 54,000 miles. Not even broken in yet....

Funny (but logical) how the older ones are getting more money than the newer ones.

Its not in the terms of sale rules. An export license is required as it is from most countries with military surplus.

They are across the date line. It's 7am Monday in Australia right now. Wait two hours and call ie 7pm Sunday est is 9am Monday in Canberra. You can apply for an export license of military surplus here http://www.defence.gov.au/deco/FormRegistration.asp

Anybody actually fill that form out ever and can give me a breakdown of what's what? I assume ABN/CCID is not required for foreign persons registering. Use personal address?

6.5hrs to go and several of the pre-1990 trucks are sub $4k. Kind of surprising.

So apart from sniping....the biggest issue with these in Australia are parts....when you break shite in the outback your local cockie (nearest farmer) is 2 days away and you can bet a Goanna tail that he doesn't have parts for an Isuzu, let alone some funky chassis no one has ever seen. A normal Landy is pretty much a sure bet.

Oye. According to the aussie forum they don't break and those guys prefer them over the imported trucks.

Everything quite complicated for foreigners. Also didn't really have the time to figure out all the details. Maybe better next time.

I'm getting one at some point. Too cool and basically perfect. Just needs power steering.

This is a total shocker...are folks just hesitant since they are in Australia? The price is outrageous for a factory galvy chassis & Isuzu diesel to boot.

There it is. Lot 0020 just shot up a few grand at once with around 3 hours left. Now maybe we will see what they end up selling for. I'm guessing some of those possibly low mileage 1987s will go up a bit. There is a 6x6 crew cab for sale at another auction site. It looks crazy.
