Pelican cases

Just received a bunch of larger cases. All of the used ones have some foam (essentially there was a cube of foam removed from the center), the new ones are complete with foam. All are black, the used ones have some shipping stickers on them but are 100% functional And were apparently used by General Dynamics to ship . . . things. They havent been in combat, but have been through DHL, so expect some scuffs here and there. All are located in Arlington, VA. Prices are relatively firm, but discounts for multiple purchases, showing up with a bottle of single malt or generally catching me at a weak moment will be entertained. Www.pelican-case.com is a great source for detailed data sheets on each model. Feel Freetown ask any questions.

3x 0370 black new $240 each (no castors)
3x 1660 black used $175 each (see picture of one in the back of a 110, definitely keeping one for myself)
1x 1630 black used $150
1x 0350 black used $150 (no castors, it also doesn't have a model number on it, but this seems to be correct based on dimensions)

Now for the dirty commerce:

In light of the recent thread about shipping, I'm going to be very clear on this: all prices are as is, where is in Arlington. I very much prefer local pickup (but I will obviously work with you for RURR or meeting at a mutually convenient place and time). If you want them shipped, I will put zip ties through the lock holes and tape a shipping label to them. I will then ship them via USPS, UPS or FEDEX. You get to pick the company, the speed, the insurance, the tracking, the delivery notification and whatever else. Its like a "choose your own adventure" for shipping! I will ship them and then let you know what it cost without markup. I will expect that you will reimburse me immediately for shipping, I will expect prepayment for the actual case. Payment will be via PayPal gift, check or cash. If you pay via PayPal, please have the correct shipping address as your Paypal address. In short: I won't be a dick and I hope that you won't be one either.

Again, pickup is greatly preferred.

Pictures will follow shortly.

Pictures attached. Again, I'm digging the 1660 as a recovery gear/fluids/spares box.

Classic...too funny!

I think I need an intervention from my family in the matter of future pelican or d90 bits and bobs purchases...(or maybe not).

Jeff, great question! I've found over the years that an 0370 is the PERFECT size for disposing of bodies! Typically, if I have, say, a dead prostitute that needs to be relocated, I opt for an 0370. I like the new ones as the pick n' pluck foam can easily be modified to fit around stiletto heels, a bloodied pimp-cane and even a set of gloves. Additionally, the black cases are preferred for ease of hiding at Jersey Turnpike rest areas.

Now, all that said, if said prostitute is, by chance, no longer in a single piece, I prefer the 1660s. As with all cases, the sealed O ring is a nice touch (And consequently keeps the aroma down), and the extruded plastic doesn't hold a fingerprint too well which keeps The Man from hassling you.

How many do you need?

To answer an off-line question: No, I don't think that any will fit inside another one for shipping. Besides, you'd then need to remove the foam.

Thanks
