Pelican 1620 cases

Black, 2 new in box, 2 new without box. No foam. $160/ea FOB Northern Virginia.

I really like this size, big enough to hold a good amount of stuff but not so big that it becomes unwieldy. Plus, the wheels and extending handle make loading a lot easier. I used 3 of these in the back of my old disco stacked and it worked really well: one for camping gear, one for tools and spares and one for food. Which is why I'm keeping 2 of this batch.

I wish I did. Off hand I can count 3 cases I've gotten NOT in black in all of this time. I wish I did, though, and I'm always asking, but they just don't seem to pop up.

These were pretty cool, they were destined to be a self-contained solar unit with the panel, 110v plugs, a small battery and a management system. I'm trying to find out if the finished unit actually exists in nature (I believe a prototype or two are sitting on shelves somewhere) as it would be a neat take-along for the expedition junkies.

There are a good number of firms out there trying to do this, but with congress authorizing $0 spend on this sort of thing, it's DOA. Funny thing is that it really appears that there's a big appetite for it in the Pentagon.
