Nice Military Transit Cases 100 of them for sale

The case was made by thermodine and were purchased for a military contract that closed early. I have 100 of these taking up space.

The cases are filled with foam with various cut outs (see the images)

Measures 39 x 25 x 13.

All are in perfect order other than maybe a scratch or scrape from storage.

Same mil spec as Pelican Cases.

$110.00 each plus shipping

Its gotta be 71 lbs with payload, it couldn't weigh more than 35-40 lbs empty could it?

Stephen, do you have a cheap way of getting 2 of them to Colorado? You could chuck the foam to save weight.

Thanks,
Rod

These are so cool! I could put my footy goalkeeper kit in it and open it up inside the penalty box and just get changed right there in the bear. The opposition would be so totally psyched out before the whistle blew it'd be untrue!

Joking aside, I want one but am worried about the horrendous shipping charges. Dammit.

------ Follow up post added April 5th, 2012 04:51 PM ------

I concur. The packing wouldn't be needed so if it helps to drive shipping costs down a tad, then great but given my location, I suspect the 'volumetric' calcs. used to establish shipping will probably out-weigh (pardon the pun) any savings.

Is there a limit since you are only supposed to stack 3 high? And they require 2 people to lift? So many regulations!

Looks like a nice case.

We were the prime contractor on this program with Icon Systems as the sub. They have since been purchased by SAIC and destroyed. That,s how the cases came about.

The Combat Vehicle MILES program was a re-complete which is what was inside the cases.

I may be in for two depending on shipping to NY. Could you measure the inside specs without any of the foam in there?

What is the shipping for a single box to 55356?

No need to box it...just slap a label on it.

Also...what would the shipping be on 6 or 8 of them on a pallet to 55343?

Ha,ha! Sometimes I just need a little prodding. Thanks for your input.

Stephen, if your willing to find a way to ship them, I'll take a couple. How best to do a deal? Phone call or PM, something like that?
I also noticed an old thread of yours from '08, do you still have the grease gun mags and are you willing to part with them?

Thanks,
Rod

Afternoon guys. The cases weigh in at 43 lbs each with the foam. We can remove said foam but i think that would only take off a few pounds. Andre is getting some shipping quotes together.
