New Years cleanout, wheels, LR3/4 rods & such, accessories & militaria

5xNRC 7578 16” x 5.5” solid steel wheels (Series/Defender/D1/RRC) ($200 pickup or RURR)
Sitting in my garage waiting for Pedro but figured it worth listing broadly in case someone needs them. I have realized I do not. Good condition but dirty, as the pictures illustrate. Will keep up for sale till the time comes for them to get painted and thrown on a trail rig whose heart transplant is pending.

Proud Rhino 2.5” lift rods (LR 3, LR 4, 06-09 RRS) ($75 shipped)
Proud Rhino LR3 2.5" Lift Kit – Lucky 8 Parts and Accesories for Land Rovers
Sat on my LR3 for about a year, realized they were still there the other day when I found the stock rods in a bin. Since I’m on coils it really doesn’t matter to me but this will allow for day to day driving at a higher suspension height without it ‘boinging’ at you about slowing down/lowering out of off road. Anodized aluminum with rubber grommets, minor wear but since they sit static once on the truck they are fully functional.

Discovery 4 (w/’3’ included) rear tailgate badge in black ($15 shipped)
My truck is already re-badged to what she should have been, i.e. a Discovery. No idea why I have this extra, for a 4. I also found a spare ‘3’ if someone wants to go that way-that one will need fresh double sided trim tape.

Superwinch aluminum hawse, winch hook ($25 shipped)
A nice hawse but in excess of needs since I’m supporting SDO and my drinking habit with his.

Mobitronic M50K-12 low voltage cut out battery protector (dometic, engel fridge plug?) ($20 shipped)
https://www.dometicrvcentre.com.au/o...tronic-m50k-12
Grabbed this at some point in Abu Dhabi for my fridge but never installed, went a different route for voltage protection. Good for someone who wants to make a custom setup without chopping up stock cords for any 12v accessory that you want to ensure some protection from drawing down the battery.

Coleman racing 1 ¼” aluminum accessory mounts ($10 shipped)
Accessory Mount
No idea why, where, how. Think I got them for doing something on my SD rack(s) but ultimately they are in excess of needs. Uses ¼’ hardware in the hole to mount small items to appropriately sized tubing and such.

Old Man Emu 776 springs (Extra HD, front for 110’s; 1.25” lift, NIB) ($100 pickup or RURR, shipping at buyer expense)
OLD MAN EMU COIL SPRING EX HEAVY DUTY FRONT, OME766 - Rovers North - Classic Land Rover Parts
Left overs from playing around with the D1 suspension. Good for someone running a diesel D w/a winch and such that doesn’t want to go to high.

Night Desert Parka (Medium/Regular) ($20 shipped)
Purchased as a pair once upon a time when I had to make a ghillie suit; does an excellent job of making a ¾ suit for those times when you have to have concealment but don’t want to have to haul the g-damn pants around. With enough time, effort, nasty burlap, and shoe goo you too can look like the pictures-which date me considerably given the M40A1s, M16A2s, etc. Otherwise it is a good piece of Gulf War era militaria that makes an excellent smoking jacket and such at rallies.

Coyote Brown fleece (Medium/Regular) ($20 shipped)
I was handed this sometime in 07 or 08 while putting in a program with the Iraqi Police that had me coming/going from the US and into Ramadi and other shitholes throughout the winter. Worn under a MARPAT gortex mostly for helo rides or really cold desert nights, and then retired to the back of the closet. A keen eye will note the Velcro, acknowledge that I’m not in the Army, and see why someone else is welcome to this nice piece of kit that I didn’t even realize I still had.

LL Bean Original Field Coat; cotton lined. (Medium) ($40 shipped)
Men's Field Jacket | Jackets & Coats at L.L.Bean
So I loved this coat, wore it a few times and then went on deployment(s). It wandered around from move to move in the same closet area as the coyote fleece and night desert parka. Re-discovered the other day and the wife took one look and said “No.” Nearly new condition, classic LL Bean (she’s not getting me to get rid of my LL Bean boots). I can’t really claim that I need it since I haven’t worn it for like a decade.

If you add a previously owned by Ray Gerber tag in the clothing, it should be worth twice the price!
Too bad it's all size medium...
Nice pictures.

I remember 110 springs being "different" from classic, defender, disco1 etc springs, but in what way?

Oh, and love the hair, Ray. Never pegged you for a "Poison" fan! ;-)

Believe the rear springs are where the difference shows up on 110's; these are for the front though like anything else you can play around with them front or rear on most coil spring trucks to achieve the desired effect with the spring rates and such. (250 lbf/in in the case of these).

Given how little hair I actually have, the veil was a great substitute!

Nice pictures.
I kinda had to laugh posting the sizes knowing just how much of this community simply doesn't shop in the hobbit sized end of the store.

Dang. I just ordered those springs on Friday for a project 110.
I was scrolling through the listing, anticipating that you were going to post those Bilsteins and springs I sent you many years ago.....

Shit, those bilsteins are still sitting in John's barn aren't they (meaning if you don't have them, and I don't have them, they still live there)? I recharged them but they needed a full rebuild and heading into VOT time demanded an immediate fix & I totally forgot about them.

I'll get up there and box them up if you want them back; likewise the springs are yours if you can cancel the order you have (gratis, I more than owe you that).

Proud Rhino 2.5” lift rods (LR 3, LR 4, 06-09 RRS) ($75 shipped)
Interested. How long does it take to install the rods? Could be fun during the next big snowy day.

With practice you can probably do it in 5 min. I put them on once, took them off once-and thus it was far closer to 20 min. A golf divot tool helps a great deal, as does lubrication (as with most things).

Lemme know, those are still avail.

You need to bring that Rangie to a HH; enough of this BMW stuff not to mention running and all that crap.

Will need to catch up in the spring for sure, strong probability I'll be moving back up that way post College of War.

Bobeck was once seen shopping in the puppet section of a flea market.
