Belgium ex mod 4x2.
Looks like a series radiator with a V8. Interesting start there.
No engine driven fan and no fan visible from the front. Won't last long in Miami Traffic.
Amazing the shiite that black rattlecan can cover up. Someone was sky high when that took a can of orange paint and a brush to it. Cut down tailgate is crap way of doing things.

Lets add this to the Hall of Shame.

I think we all knew it was Strange Rover already. He's been selling shitty trucks on eBay for years now - usually with faux snake and alligator interiors and black undercarriages with silver accents and overspray on the exhaust.

Maybe it was a rare import of a Royal Post Office delivery vehicle. Only 2WD makes it a Special Vehicles, which is money in the bank! that's more net t-shirts in the closet down in Pompano baby!

There have been 2WD Series made, though I'm not sure why it would still have the levers in the cab.

I would make outragous claims of popping a wheelie with 2wd going to the rear. He should put a limited slip diff in. Then maybe I'd be interested...

Since the Belgium MOD were the only people to have a 4x2 made, the only answer I can think of is someone had a bunch of parts lying around and built a truck out of the remains of a RHD series with a bad drivetrain, added a Belgium axle plus gearbox and a V8. And a can of red paint.

At least that one has some beef to it! color is still god awful but it does tie in with the G4 deal. that one gets a pass but I'd still paint it if she was mine. people in this state would think you had a hard on for clemson.

Unfortunately... I have to confirm this post. The great and mighty Belgian army did have 4x2... They ordered them with the thought of making them 4x4 in the event of war. Talk about rapid deployment... First we have to sober up and then make out trucks off road capable!

My father did drive these when he was in the army... I guess I don't have to mention that they got stuck quite a lot? And had the old Minerva's pull them out?

how in the world is this a legal back window or even semi functional? At least the back logo is spot on. STRANGE, in all caps no less.

and the hideousness continues....... this one is at least a step up from the Blanco convertible as it's somewhat functional but that back window is just such a blind spot. Heaven forbid you get caught in the rain!

the guy that posts that (these) trucks does this a lot....he buys or imports trucks requiring work and "restores" them, he probably does about 1 a month, all located down in FL, and all have the silly Land Rover emblem put somewhere on them - like the doors and bonnet. And usually they are repainted MAACO colors, and non original....plus the interiors are done with some stupid leather covers...to make it look nice.

HE ALWAYS POSTS IN CAPS....and he is always "not available" and he is always "the driving force behind...blah blah". You see them on eBay always. This particular one ran out on eBay - hence CL now.

YES - it is 2WD too (RWD)

FWIW....I have a exBelgium S3 & have done some recerach on it and found and still finding all of the were LHD....probally wrong on the "all" though of the ones found they have been LHD, there is a seller on ebay who is very proud of his, maybe knowing that there were only I think 3k or so made.
And yes mine had been converted to 4wd before my purchase like most.
There is a writer up in one of the UK fourms explaing the build of them on how and why they were made in 2wd.
Me I do like the color of the vehicle...kinda.

I did overlook that as well... The Belgian army should only have LHD. Don't see why any would be RHD.

I drove this one before buying yours Chris. Actually we got it stuck for a bit on an off-road test drive getting a bit too aggressive. Seemed very solid, but not what i was looking for. I'm still a newb with these things so I can't really say much more than that.

The owner (I think he was the owner at the time at least), was a really cool guy, also in the military down there. He was showing 2 other similar imports that are also affiliated with (on consignment through?) Pikes Peak Rovers.

You could get an adaptor to mate a Rover V8 to series transmission. I built one many years ago, it's still knocking about and was featured in A LR mag over here not so long ago I'm told.
The oil filter used to get hit by the front diff unless you either fitted a remote filter or a 101 oil pump & filter mount. No front diff would remove that little problem. They would never have been fitted with a V8 for the Belgian Army. It's a bitsa.
